CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that aids your body's ability to release restrictions and unhealthy compensations that cause pain and dysfunction. "Viscera" relates to the internal organs of the body, such as the liver, kidneys and intestines. Visceral Manipulation does not focus solely on the site of pain or dysfunction, but evaluates the entire body to find the source of the problem.
Neural Manipulation is a light-touch hands-on treatment that releases local nerve restrictions while at the same time examines the effect these local fixations have on the rest of the body, and by accessing this relationship, changes the more comprehensive (global) dysfunctional patterns.

"During the summer before the 2009 football season, I went through the CranioSacral Intensive Program at The Upledger Institute looking to deal with some nagging physical complaints I had from past injuries. I ended up getting the relief I was looking for and much more. I credit much of my well-being and my 1000 yard season to the multi-modality manual therapy program I experienced at Upledger."
"Upledger CranioSacral Therapy combined with Barral Neural and Visceral Manipulation can be very effective. It has improved my quality of life better than any treatment I’ve received in 30+ years. I have recommended these therapies to all of my associates."
"For me, CranioSacral Therapy, Neural Manipulation, and Visceral Manipulation have been key elements in unwinding and releasing old pain. The Upledger and Barral therapists have facilitated an inward journey that has taken me to the care of my being, at the physical, mental and emotional realms, where the old contractions from years of hard driving and pounding have lodged.
My short-term memory and cognitive process are once again fully on line. My moods and outlook have regained stability and balance. My body is pain free, and the issues I struggled with for so long from a lumbar spinal fracture have completely resolved. These gentle modalities have the ability to save and transform lives. They are firmly grounded in the science and biology of human nature. They are inexpensive, non-invasive, and have no negative side effects. They have a 30+ year track record of helping people from all walks of life with a myriad of physical, emotional and psychological pain."
