Reduce Pain, Inflammation, Chronic Disorders Autogenically With Trauma Release Therapy
|
TUCSON-- Trauma Release Therapy (TRT) is a new approach to reduce acute pain and inflammation from recent or accumulated traumas and post-surgical states. TRT is an easy-to-learn, interactive methodology that removes the traumatic imprints from the entire body/mind complex.
A manual therapy, TRT is a technique taught to healthcare professionals through post-graduate workshops. The Trauma Release Therapy I workshop, sponsored by the International Alliance of Healthcare Educators (IAHE), will be held Dec. 7 - 10 at The Holiday Inn City Center in Tucson.
Karl Nishimura, D.D.S., M.S., a specialist in orthodontics, craniofacial orthopedics and TMJ disorders, developed TRT. Dr. Nishimura is a faculty member of the Temporomandibular Joint clinic at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. Previously, he was an associate professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Loma Linda University in California. In both clinical and private practice, Dr. Nishimura has successfully used TRT for "end-of-the-line" TMJ - MPD cases.
The four-day Trauma Release Therapy I workshop includes instruction in techniques that reduce craniofacial, cervicospinal and other body dysfunctions. TRT recognizes and uses pain as a favorable physiologic signal and direct guide to extracting traumas from the body/mind complex.
An excellent first-aid technique, TRT reduces the effects of recent traumas such as wounds, blows, accidents, falls, sprains, strains, muscle pulls, contusions and joint disorders.
The technique has been shown to enhance post-traumatic and post-surgical tissue healing response by decreasing inflammation, increasing fluid flow, restoring normal tissue resilience and accelerating the body's natural healing response. TRT also reduces persistent chronic functional disorders and pain stemming from an accumulation of prior traumas in any part of the body. These conditions include joint dysfunction, pain, clicks, pops, noises, tendinitis, ligamentitis, bursitis, synovitis, arthritis, myositis, fasciatis, fibromyalgia, neuralgia and neuropathy.
The clearly scripted, step-by-step TRT method readily accesses and reduces the physical effects, as well as the mental and emotional issues, associated with each traumatic experience. This technique also can be used to do self TRT, enabling the practitioner to uncover and release his or her own accumulated traumas.
Completion of The UI Institute's CranioSacral Therapy II course is a prerequisite for this workshop. For more information or to register, call the International Alliance of Healthcare Educators toll-free at 1-800-311-9204, extension 9290.
