Bruno Chikly, M.D.'S Lymph Drainage Therapy Workshop Set For Denver
DENVER -- Practiced throughout Europe for decades, lymphatic drainage is a well-documented method of stimulating the lymph system to detoxify, rejuvenate and strengthen the body’s natural defenses. Bruno Chikly, M.D., brings the technique to a new level in this original method, Lymph Drainage Therapy. A Lymph Drainage Therapy I workshop for healthcare professionals will be held Feb. 19 - 22 at The Cherry Creek Inn in Denver.

Years of intense study in general medicine, psychology, massage and oriental medicine are the basis for the development of Dr. Chikly’s breakthrough technique. His doctoral thesis, addressing the lymphatic system, its historical evolution and lymphatic drainage technique was awarded the Medal of the Medical Faculty of Paris VI, a prestigious acknowledgment for in-depth work and scientific presentation.

The workshop is sponsored by the International Alliance of Healthcare Educators (IAHE), an innovative healthcare organization that offers continuing education courses to medical professionals worldwide.

The manual maneuvers employed in Lymph Drainage Therapy are very subtle. Flat hands and fingers simulate wave-like movements that prompt small, muscular units located along the walls of the lymphatic channels to activate the flow of fluids. Using this method, the practitioner is able to feel the rhythm of the body fluids enabling him/her to determine the exact direction and pressure necessary to affect the flow of the lymphatic system.

Through demonstrations and supervised practice, Lymph Drainage Therapy workshop participants will be taught light-touch techniques to stimulate the immune system to improve conditions like sinusitis, acne and allergies, as well as to detoxify and renew tissues in the body. Instruction in methods to alleviate conditions such as edemas, headaches, arthrosis and chronic fatigue syndrome also will be given. Participants also will be taught techniques to improve cellulite, to minimize the appearance of scars and wrinkles, and to create a state of deep relaxation to relieve stress, insomnia and depression.
