International Craniosacral Therapy Awareness Month Kicks Off In April
|
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA. -- April marks International CranioSacral Therapy Awareness Month. From public service events to community activities, therapists from all over the world plan to draw attention to this health-enhancing, gentle hands-on treatment.
The UI Institute, Inc. (UI), recognized worldwide as the definitive source for groundbreaking continuing-education programs, clinical research and therapeutic services in CranioSacral Therapy, will be leading the way for this international celebration.
"We are still a few weeks away and the excitement and response is phenomenal. All three of the CranioSacral Therapy seminars for therapists scheduled for this event are already sold out," said John Matthew UI, Chief Executive Officer of UI.
In addition to those seminars, UI is also planning the following events to promote CranioSacral Awareness Month:
- Sunday, April 30, UI will hold a ShareCare, a one-day seminar for lay people that teaches basic CranioSacral Therapy techniques to relieve pain and promote relaxation.
- Monday May 1 and Tuesday May 2, John E. UI, D.O., O.M.M., the developer of CranioSacral Therapy, will hold a two-day clinical symposium in which he will personally demonstrate CST treatment techniques.
CranioSacral Therapy is a non-invasive, hands-on treatment that involves gentle touch. It works through the craniosacral system -- the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CranioSacral Therapy influences the function of the central nervous system and enhances the body's natural ability to heal itself.
CranioSacral Therapy has proven effective for a wide range of medical problems including migraines, chronic neck and back pain, TMJ and many other conditions. Currently, more than 50,000 healthcare professionals in 56 countries practice CST.
