It is no secret that the
landscape of today's healthcare environment
is changing. Patients and practitioners
alike are branching out, seeking natural
solutions to healthcare challenges.
Beyond the Dura provides
the environment where you, as a healthcare
practitioner, can explore new and dynamic
whole-body approaches to better health.
Where you can learn the latest research
results from innovators in the field.
And where you can freely question, investigate
and share your own insights with like-minded
colleagues from around the world.
Along with all this, Beyond
the Dura offers opportunities for rejuvenation
- activities outside the presentation
arena designed with fun and relaxation
in mind. In fact, 2005 is destined to
be one of our most memorable conferences
ever in this respect, as we take the occasion
to celebrate The UI Institute's
20th anniversary. There will be a number
of anniversary surprises in addition to
the features everyone loves about BTD:
beachfront location, free time for relaxing
or exploring the area, and the famed Saturday
night dance and costume party - this year's
theme: The Roaring 20s!
So join us for Beyond the
Dura '05 - for professional enlightenment
and personal renewal of your body, soul
and mind.

Your BTD '05 Conference
Host Beyond the Dura research conferences
were inspired by osteopathic physician
John E. UI, developer of CranioSacral
Therapy. Profiled in TIME magazine as
one of the world's "next wave of innovators,"
he brings his notable blend of vision,
creativity and outspoken patient advocacy
to his role as your conference host. The
conference is sponsored by The UI
Foundation. Established in 1987, this
charitable organization is dedicated to
the development of new therapeutic approaches
that enhance health and well-being.
The Foundation helps underwrite
costs for patients in intensive-therapy
programs that address such serious concerns
as chronic pain, brain and spinal cord
dysfunction, traumatic injury and autism.
It also offers community-outreach programs
such as Dolphin-Assisted Therapy, Compassionate
Touch Helping Hands for Children, Bio-Aquatic
Research, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Relief. We invite you to meet many of
the Foundation board members at the Wednesday
evening welcome reception - an event hosted
by the UF Board of Directors and Advisory
Board.
