A massage therapist in the 1970's, Luvia then received her chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1988. She maintained a practice in New York State through 2002, incorporating a wide range of structural, energetic and mind-body modalities.

Observing and learning from the natural world, Luvia currently spends her free time in the semi-tropical waters and rainforest of Puerto Rico, where she writes stories born of the interface between spirit and matter.
