One of the major goals to which The International Alliance
of Healthcare Educators is committed is the presentation
of high-quality educational programs for interested
healthcare professionals from all disciplines. Course
material was designed to follow as closely as possible
the original curriculum established by the founders
of each modality. Your workshop will be conducted by
a Certified Instructor, a practicing healthcare professional
who has completed an extensive teaching apprenticeship
program.
Aston
Therapeutics (AT) is systematic method of
assessing and analyzing each body as a whole and unique
ecological system. This clarifies the causes vs. the
compensations related to the clients musculo-skeletal
complaints and enables practitioners to form a hypothesis
about the most time efficient and personally tailored
sequence of treatment.
Applications
of the Feldenkrais Method® for CranioSacral Therapists
(FMC). The Feldenkrais Method® is
a unique and sophisticated approach to human development,
learning, and movement. Invented by Moshe Feldenkrais,
an Israeli physicist and martial artist, the Method
is internationally known for its ability to improve
areas of human function such as posture, flexibility,
and self image.
Energy
Integration (EI) is a gentle, non-invasive
technique that allows you to work with the human energy
field as it manifests through the meridian and chakra
systems. Energy Integration is based on several key
beliefs from Eastern and Western principles: energy
follows thought, you can attain freedom from the past,
experience is not what happens but the meaning we give
to it, and the body is the icon of our character. This
course helps you develop the skills to integrate energy
work into your practice.
Fascial
Mobilization (FM) aims to produce a well-balanced,
mobile and symmetrical body within the skeletal, soft
tissue and craniosacral system. The fascial system consists
of a laminated connective tissue sheath that spreads
uninterrupted throughout the body in a three-dimensional
web. Because it is an integral part of all anatomical
structures, it plays a vital role in the functioning
of the body. Restrictions within the fascial system
can contribute to pain and dysfunction. These restrictions
can be caused by postural imbalances, asymmetries, gravitational
pulls, induced microtrauma or macrotrauma, inflammation
and abnormal tension or pressure.
Healing
from the Core: Grounding and Healthy Boundaries
(HFC)
This course teaches how to develop a strong therapeutic
presence; how to be grounded; how to have healthy boundaries
that enable participants to feel more deeply connected
to those around them without burning out; how to read
and understand their own unique energy field; how to
rejuvenate under stress; and how to bring more joy and
nourishing energy into their lives daily. Although each
person's healing journey is individual and unique, the
basic, underlying principles in that journey are the
same. These principles are explored conceptually, then
physically and emotionally as participants use them
to deepen their awareness of their unique energy flow
and learn how to develop it through intention, felt
sensation, expanding and reframing awareness, breath,
sound, movement, and journaling.
NeuroMuscular
Therapy (NMT) is a scientific approach to
muscular pain relief that works to balance the musculoskeletal
and nervous systems to enhance the function of joints
muscles and biomechanics. It examines six physiological
factors that can create or intensify pain patterns:
ischemia, trigger points, nerve entrapment/compression,
postural distortions, nutrition and emotional well-being.
From there it offers a program of recovery utilizing
specific massage therapy, flexibility stretching and
home care to eliminate the cause of most neuromuscular
pain patterns.
Process
Acupressure (PA) is a body/mind/emotions/soul
modality designed to help you discover and enhance your
psycho-spiritual growth. It combines traditional accupressure
with light touch techniques to open, strengthen and
balance the body's energy systems- meridians and chakras.
SomatoEmotional
Release (SER) is a therapeutic process that
expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to
help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of
trauma. Joint research efforts by Dr. John UI
and biophysicist Dr. Zvi Karni led to the discovery
that the body often retains (rather than dissipates)
physical forces. This is often the result of an accident,
injury, or emotional trauma. The dysfunctional area
is isolated, creating what is called an energy
cyst. Although a reasonably healthy body can adapt
to energy cysts, extra energy is required
to perform normal bodily functions. As time passes,
the adaptive pattern of the body loses its effectiveness.
Symptoms begin to appear and, over time, become more
difficult to suppress. The SomatoEmotional Release process
requires extreme sensitivity on the part of the therapist
and a positive attitude and trust from the client/patient.
Trauma
Release Therapy (TRT), developed by Karl
Nishimura, D.D.S., M.S., is a process by which a lifetime
of accumulated, suppressed traumas that have been shielded
from conscious awareness are removed by autogenic means,
the bodys natural healing capacity. Over time,
the mind and body adjust, compromise and compensate
for trauma to allow continued function up to a saturation
point. An overload of the suppressive mechanisms can
lead to pain and dysfunction. Trauma Release Therapy
uses a fourteen Step Protocol to reactivate old traumas
and remove individual injuries layer by layer until
rejuvenation occurs.
Zero
Balancing (ZB) is a simple, yet powerful
hands-on method of balancing body energy with body structure.
Taught internationally since 1973, Zero Balancing integrates
a Western anatomical view of structure with Eastern
concepts of energy into a Zero Balancing protocol. Zero
Balancing Core Program Segments I and II focuses on
the theory and application of the ZB protocol and techniques
used to evaluate and balance energy in the body.
